Youngstown Saxon Club Events
The Youngstown Saxon Club hosts a multitude of events each year and while the calendar isn’t quite complete, you can always count on these events.
Goulash Dinner
Held annually, this dinner honors our long-term club members and Saxon man and women of the year.
Saxon Day Picnic
Every summer, the Saxon Day picnic welcomes all members to come together and enjoy a great meal outdoors with live music.
Speck Fry
Each fall the Speck Fry is held in the traditional German way. Thick-cut bacon (speck) is cooked over an open fire.
Craft & Vendor Shows
Craft and vendor shows are held a few times a year in the Ballroom. Please check back for dates for the upcoming year.
Children’s Halloween Party
Every Halloween, the Saxon Club hosts its annual children’s Halloween party for all members, their children and grandchildren to enjoy.
Trachtenball
Celebrates our German heritage with a schnitzel dinner and live performances done wearing traditional German Lederhosen and Dirndl.
Children’s Christmas Party
Every Christmas, the Saxon Club hosts its annual children’s Christmas party for all members, their children and grandchildren to enjoy.
Saxon Club Christmas Party
Each December, the Saxon Club hosts its annual Christmas party. This event includes appetizers, dinner, Christmas cookies and a piano player.
Monday Parking Lot Flea Market
Late Spring through early Fall, weather permitting, the Saxon Flea Market will run in the parking lot every Monday 8:00am – 2:00pm.
Wednesday Night Drawings
Enter to Win! Each Wednesday at 8:00pm, member numbers are drawn for our weekly and monthly winners.
Pork & Kraut Dinners
Held September through March (none in December), the Club offers a monthly drive through Pork and Kraut dinner with gravy, bread, cake and applesauce.
300 Club Dinner
This reverse raffle is held every September with a dinner and an open bar. Chances to win prizes and cash.
Culture Group Sausage Sales
The Youngstown Saxon Culture group holds a sausage sale every Spring and Fall
in the pavilion. Free beer and live German music all day.
Branch Meetings
Held the second Sunday of each month at 2:00pm for fraternal members only. Become a fraternal member to attend and have your voice heard.
Holiday Dinners
The Saxon Club holds various Holiday dinners through the year, from Easter to Mother’s day buffets. Dates and offerings will be posted and are subject to change.
