Bocce
The Youngstown Saxon Club is the Valley’s premier bocce location. Enjoyable at virtually any age or athletic ability, bocce ball is a popular past-time in Youngstown, Ohio as a way to have fun and unwind.
As an important part of the Youngstown Saxon Club since its inception, we have an indoor and outdoor court where you can learn the ropes, have a light-hearted family match or compete in a tournament.
Indoor
Indoor bocce is held in the Saxon Club’s finished basement carpeted bocce court. Team play begins every January until mid-April in a mixed-league fashion. Indoor play is held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
Members of each team will receive a schedule of what night they play for a given week. Matches start each night at 6:30pm until the game is over. Cost is $10 per person for the season (all proceeds are donated back to the club at the end of the season).
Couples can be any combination. We welcome old friends, relatives and even new acquaintances to team up!
Outdoor
Youngstown Saxon Club’s outdoor bocce is held in the covered bocce pavilion located behind the main building. Outdoor league, which includes two full-size regulation courts, starts in April and runs through August.
The current match schedule is:
Men: Monday & Tuesday
Women: Wednesday & Thursday
Couples: Friday
Games start at 6:30pm until finished with a $125 team sponsorship fee per team.
